Depart New Zealand on Tuesday 19th March and return on the Monday 25th March 2024
International Softball Academy
For 15 years (since 2015) ISA New Zealand sent teams to compete in the New South Wales Softball Association International Challenge. The intervention of Covid has resulted in a change of Tournament. and NSW is hosting a U14 grade event at the Blacktown International Sports Stadium, with representative teams from NSW and teams from Japan for over fifteen years. New Zealand received an invite in 2015, with the boys’ team winning in 2019.
Venue; Was the venue built for the 2000 Sydney Olympics and is now known as the Blacktown International Sportspark, Eastern Road, Rooty Hill, Western Sydney.
Player age is Under 14 as of the 31st of December 2023
Location: Warm-up games and training in and around Western Sydney with Tournament at Blacktown

Head Coach: Hadyn Smith for Softball New Zealand CEO and long-standing ISA coach, assisted by Mike Mountford and Steve Jackson as Battery Coach.

Tuesday
Flying Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington on a real Early am flight arriving in Sydney at approximately 8.30 am check through customs
10.30 am Meet up with the others await the Bus bay and depart for Accommodation
11.35 am arrive at 12.00 pm at the Accommodation
12.00 pm Grocery delivery – all hands on deck
1.00 pm Lunch
2.00 pm 4.00 pm Training Run.
4.00pm Travel Back to Accommodation and fresh up
4.30 pm Meal at accommodation
5.30 pm Depart to Stanhope, Majestic Drive for Games v Cumberland Nepean Softball for games
6.30 pm Game 1 (1 hour game)
7.30 pm Sausage Sizzle
8.00 pm Game 2 (1 hour game)

New South Wales Softball Association are hosting their NSW Club Championship BOYS & GIRLS JUNIOR SOFTBALL in 2024. It will be re-branded from the Blue Blaze to the NSW Club Championship. We have previously included visits to markets, downtown Sydney, Luna Park, Sydney Opera House, League Games, Sydney Harbour Bridge and tunnel, Movies, Outlet shops, Blacktown shopping complex, and specialised softball shops. Any entertainment costs are covered by the tour fee.
